Ohio's College Credit Plus (CCP) can help you earn college and high school credits at the same time by taking college courses at Rhodes State.  The purpose of this program is to promote rigorous academic pursuits and to provide a wide variety of options to college-ready students.  CCP allows qualified students in grades 7 through 12 to participate and is free at Rhodes State, as are books and fees!

You Save Time and Money with Rhodes

  • Save on average $26,000:  CCP students can save on average $26,000 by finishing their first two years at Rhodes State.
  • Easily Transfer Your Credits:  The Ohio Transfer Module guarantees transferable credit hours of general education courses that are common to a variety of associate and bachelor’s degree programs across Ohio’s public colleges and universities.
  • No Application Required:  As a CCP student, there is no need to reapply to Rhodes State as a new freshman. Simply contact a Student Success Navigator at (419) 995-8320 or at enroll@rhodesstate.edu

Qualified students may take college courses

  • In the high school classroom, taught by a high school teacher who has been approved to teach the college course
  • At Rhodes State campus location, taught by Rhodes State faculty
  • Online, taught by Rhodes State faculty

Mature Content Notice

 Please note: Ohio Revised Code requires us to inform parents and students of the following:

 

"The subject matter of a course enrolled in under the college credit plus program may include mature subject matter or materials, including those of a graphic, explicit, violent, or sexual nature, that will not be modified based upon college credit plus enrollee participation regardless of where course instruction occurs."

CCP Program Eligibility 

Eligibility to participate in the College Credit Plus Program is determined by state guidelines. Students must have a 3.0 GPA or meet one of the college-ready benchmark standards to be considered for admission.

Prospective CCP Students who do not have qualifying ACT or SAT scores, may complete the Accuplacer Assessment at Rhodes State’s Testing Center or remotely.  Each student is permitted an initial Accuplacer Assessment at no cost.
