Student Focused – Student First: Work does not interrupt our interactions with students and a student is never an interruption to our work – they are the reason for it.
• Employees are easily identified: Wear name badge or ID tag
• Warm student hand-off: Take and / or direct a student where they need to go and follow up with answers to questions as necessary
• 10-4 Rule (pay attention to your environment): Any time you are within 10 feet of student and / or visitor, make eye contact and smile, and when within 4 feet, greet them and say something friendly
Respect & Trust Each Other: The cornerstone of a thriving workplace culture, where individuals feel valued and empowered.
• Create a space for respectful, open and honest dialogue for all
• Respect an individual’s personal time when not at work (unless an emergency)
