The Rhodes State College Office of Alumni Relations has been serving alumni and friends of Rhodes State since 2012. However, Rhodes State College and Lima Technical College have been investing in the lives and careers of alumni through our Career Development Office, Small Business Development Center, faculty and staff since the early seventies.
Our alumni are professionals in their fields and actively serve their communities. The Office of Alumni Relations strives to:
- Connect: We want to build relationships with each alumnus as well an be a facilitator of small group, affinity connections among our alumni community.
- Advocate: We promote our alumni, their skills, their businesses and their future education.
- Recognize: In every way, we want to honor the accomplishments of our alumni who achieve great things in career, community and for the College.
- Engage: We desire to keep our alumni invested in the life of the College through mentorship, advisory, and volunteer opportunities.
In 2015, the Alumni Legacy Scholarship was established to assist the children and grandchildren of Rhodes State College (or Lima Technical College) alumni with tuition at Rhodes State College. Each year, two students are chosen to receive the award. In addition, the Outstanding Alumni Scholarship, established in 1988, was created to honor the Outstanding Alumni of Rhodes State College. The scholarship is annually awarded to a student enrolled in a major corresponding to the Outstanding Alumni Award winner’s area of study.
In accordance with the Rhodes State College mission, the Alumni Relations Office will continue to develop a collegial spirit among our graduate by coordinating activities and services which will change lives, build futures, and improve the communities of our alumni both near and far.
