Concrete Technician Certificate Overview
Students who enroll in the Concrete Technician certficate are trained to be a strong team member, who works together with other professionals to ensure the safety of civil projects, building projects, and more. This certificate will provide valuable experience required to sit for and successfully pass industry-related certifications and gives an in-depth knowledge of the properties of aggregates, construction practices, inspection and test methods, pavement design, and estimating. Individuals who successfully complete this certificate will have local as well as national career opportunities.
Scholarship Opportunity
Rhodes State and local businesses support the Concrete students with a substantial scholarship to assist with tuition.
Additionally, Rhodes State has been awarded a Choose Ohio First (COF) Scholarship grant by the Ohio Department of Higher Education. The grant provides scholarships to students majoring in disciplines that significantly strengthen Ohio’s competitiveness in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, and Medicine (STEMM) education and industry.

- American Concrete Institute’s (ACI) certification tests for
- Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I,
- Concrete Laboratory Testing Technicians - Grades I and II.
- Ohio Concrete certification test for Concrete Mix Designers.
