Rhodes State College uses “Buckeye Alert” to help keep the College community informed of closing/cancellations, emergency and critical information on campus. This emergency notification system delivers messages via voice, email, and/or text.  Contact the Security Office at (419) 995-8499 with questions. 

Students: 
  • At the beginning of each Fall, Spring and Summer sessions, students will automatically be entered into the system. Students will receive an email to their College email address and a voice message to the primary phone number on file, unless indicated confidential.
  • A student, who is “confidential,” must text “AlertRSC” to 67283 to opt in.
  • Initially, you will receive an email from "no-reply@getrave.com." Ensure you click on the link to confirm your email address. 

Employees:

  • Rhodes State employees will automatically be entered into the system and will receive emails to their Rhodes State email address and voice messages to the primary phone number on file within Banner.
  • Initially, you will receive an email from "no-reply@getrave.com." Ensure you click on the link to confirm your email address. 

Add additional numbers by texting “AlertRSC” to 67283. 

Opt-In for Confidential Students

All students are automatically included in the service unless they indicated to have their directory information held confidential when they applied to Rhodes State. It is highly recommended that confidential students opt-in to Rhodes Alert. 

  • Go to “MyRhodes”
  • Go to STARS
  • Login
  • If you are “confidential”, it will appear under the welcome bar in the personal information tab
  • To opt-in, you will need to text “AlertRSC” to 67283
  • Go to “MyRhodes”
  • Go to STARS
  • Choose “Enter Secure Area” and enter your User ID and PIN
  • Choose “Personal Information” from the Main Menu
  • Select “View Addresses and Phones”
  • If you are an employee, please contact HR@RhodesState.edu
  • If you are a student, please perform the following steps:
    • Select “Update Addresses and Phones”
    • In the “Type of Address to Insert” drop-down box, select “Web Updated Address Change” and press “Submit”
    • Scroll down to the “Primary Phone Number for this Address”
    • Enter your area code and phone number, and then press “Submit”
