Rhodes State College Earns Gold in 2024 Collegiate Advertising Awards
LIMA, Ohio April 9, 2025 – Rhodes State College has been recognized among the top in the nation in the 2024 Collegiate Advertising Awards (CAA) program, earning national honors for excellence in marketing and communications.
Among its achievements, Rhodes State earned a Gold Award—placing in the top 5% nationally—in the Business / Community College category for its publication, Field Notes: Growing Opportunities in Agriculture at Rhodes State. The newsletter highlights stories and advancements in the College’s agriculture programs and reflects the innovative strides being made in the field of agriculture technology.
“This award celebrates the power of purposeful storytelling,” said Jenna Brinkman, Coordinator of Marketing and Public Relations at Rhodes State. “Through Field Notes, we’ve crafted content that not only tells the story of our agriculture programs but has also become an essential tool in our marketing efforts to connect with prospective students and the agricultural community. We’re thrilled that our commitment to quality content and delivery has been recognized at a national level.”
Danielle Banks, Project Director of Agriculture Technology, Health Sciences and Public Service, emphasized the importance of the publication to the college’s mission:
“Field Notes allows us to share the real-world impact of our agriculture programs, showcase student success, and highlight the partnerships that are moving the industry forward. It’s exciting to see this work honored, especially as we continue to grow opportunities in agriculture right here in west-central Ohio.”
The Collegiate Advertising Awards honor “excellence in marketing and advertising specific to the field of higher education” and recognize institutions across the U.S. and Canada. Entries are judged by a national panel of industry experts based on creativity, layout and design, message effectiveness, production quality, and overall appeal.
