Rhodes State College Foundation Elects Andrew S. Farley

The Rhodes State College Foundation Board of Directors elected Andrew S. Farley to a three-year term at its annual meeting in August. With 35 years of professional experience in business management and banking, Farley serves as the Senior Vice President, Regional Executive for The State Bank & Trust Company. In this position, he manages all facets of the institution’s Commercial and Retail banking. He maintains a commercial loan portfolio and is responsible for business customer prospecting, credit analysis, closing, monitoring, and relationship management.

Mr. Farley is also highly involved in the community. He currently serves as Treasurer on the Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center Board; the American Cancer Society Board; Wapakoneta Area Economic Development Council; Marimor Legacy Foundation Board; Shawnee United Methodist Church Finance Committee; and is a member of the Lima Rotary Club. Additionally, Farley has been involved with Rhodes State College for 25 years, first as an adjunct instructor for consumer finance and commercial banking, and since that time, as a member of the Rhodes State College Business Advisory Committee.

In other action, the Board reelected the following members to three-year terms: Mr. Matthew T. Jennings; Mr. Richard P. Kortokrax; and Mrs. Linda L. Staley. Mr. Jennings and Mr. Kortokrax were also reelected to two-year terms as Chair and Vice Chair, respectively.

Founded in 1978, the Rhodes State College Foundation generates financial support to enhance opportunities for students, help provide more accessible and affordable education to current and future students, and increase the College’s viability. The Foundation currently provides approximately $275,000.00 a year in student scholarships and conducts capital campaigns to help meet program and facility plans.
