Rhodes State College’s Chad Massie Honored with Prestigious Award by the National Association of EMS Educators

Rhodes State College is proud to announce that Chad Massie, Program Coordinator-Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice and Emergency Medical Services in the Health Sciences and Public Service division, has been selected as this year’s recipient of the esteemed James O. Page Award.  

         This honor, bestowed by the National Association of EMS Educators (NAEMSE), recognizes Massie’s significant contributions to Fire Service EMS management and leadership on a national level. The James O. Page Award, named in memory of James O. Page, a visionary leader in Fire Service EMS for over three decades, is presented annually to an individual who has played a pivotal role in creating and promoting non-clinical innovation and achievements within the field, positively impacting Fire Service EMS across the country. 

       Recipients of this award must embody the following commitments: 

  • Creating a Positive Image for EMS: Advocating for the Fire Service and its mission. 
  • Making a Difference: Demonstrating dedication to the overall good of the Fire Service. 
  • Strengthening the Role of Fire Service EMS: Promoting the role and image of Fire Service EMS nationwide. 

      Additionally, the award recognizes individuals who possess qualities such as: 

  • Enthusiasm and Dedication:Demonstrating passion and commitment toward Fire Service EMS. 
  • Professionalism and Vision: Exhibiting professionalism and a forward-thinking approach. 
  • Desire for Achievement: Showing a drive for excellence and noteworthy accomplishments. 
  • Exemplary Performance and Leadership: Providing outstanding performance and leadership within the field. 

         Massie was recognized at the NAEMSE Symposium August 15th in Pittsburgh, PA bringing together leading educators, professionals, and innovators in the EMS field to celebrate achievements and advancements in EMS education and service.
