Rhodes State College Announces New Board of Trustees Officers and Trustee

Everett “Butch” Kirk, III has been selected to serve as Board Chair. He has served on the Board since 2009.  Kirk is the Co-Founder/President of International Tank Service and Founder/President of American Petrochem Equipment, Inc. Kirk received his BS in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University.  “Mr. Kirk brings a wealth of experience and dedication to our organization” said President Cynthia E. Spiers. “He is an integral part of this community and his leadership will continue to actively engage the Trustees in moving the vision, mission, and goals of the College forward during these evolving times,” she added. 

Kirk serves on the Lima Community Foundation as Vice Chair, Heir Force Community School Board of Trustees, the John Keller Foundation and the Lima Shawnee Alumni Legacy Scholarship Fund.   

Spiers also expressed the College’s gratitude to Ms. Jane Krites for her outstanding service as a member of the Board, since 2009, and as Board Chair, from 2021 to 2023.  “Her dedication, passion, and unwavering commitment to our mission have left an indelible mark on our institution,” said Spiers.

Dr. Ann Pohl will serve as Board Vice Chair.  Pohl currently serves as Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer at Lima Memorial Health System.  Dr. Pohl received her D.N.P. at Executive Leadership Quinnipiac University, M.S. in Nursing at Leadership Focus Drexel University, B.S. in Nursing at Bowling Green State University, A.S. in Nursing at Lima Technical College and A.S. in Respiratory Therapy at Lima Technical College.  “We are thrilled to have Dr. Pohl in this leadership role,” stated Dr. Spiers. “She is a valuable member of our Board, bringing a progressive leadership style, diverse set of experiences in the growing field of health care, and demonstrated advocacy for Rhodes State and health care at both the local and state level.” 

Pohl serves as an American Heart Association Allen County Board Member, American College of Cardiology Cardiac Care Associate, American Heart Association Professional Member, Northwest Ohio Literacy Council Board Member, Sigma Theta Tau (Zeta Theta Chapter) Member, American Academy of Cardiovascular Medical Administrators Member, and Rhodes State College Foundation Board Member.

Robert Sielschott is the newest addition to the Rhodes State College Board of Trustees, beginning his term on November 1, 2023.  Sielschott is president and founding partner of Sielschott, Walsh, Keifer, Regula & Sherer CPA’s of Lima, Ohio. He is a certified public accountant, certified valuation analyst, holds certification in financial forensics, and has over 30 years of leadership and forensic accounting experience.  Sielschott received his BA in Accounting and Business Administration from Bluffton College; completed graduate courses at Ashland College in business law, marketing and management; and completed professional education courses from the Institute of Business Appraisers, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.

“Mr. Sielschott’s experience will be a great asset to the Board,” said Spiers. “This is a wonderful opportunity for me to serve in the educational area of our community,” commented Sielschott. “I look forward to serving as a member of the Rhodes State Board.”

Sielschott is a member of AICPA, OSCPA and NACVA, served in an elected capacity as a Trustee for Bath Township, Allen County, Ohio, and currently serves on the Small Business Advisory Board to the Governor’s “Common Sense Initiative.”
