Mr. Lee Schroeder was elected to a three-year term on the Rhodes State College Foundation Board of Directors at the Foundation’s annual meeting on August 15. With professional experience in agriculture, law, government, and business, Mr. Schroeder operates Schroeder Law LLC/Schroeder Title LLC/Schroeder Qualified Intermediary LLC in Columbus Grove, Ohio. His specialties include negotiating to closing residential and commercial real estate and business transactions; resolving estate planning, estate administration, and trust issues; preparing succession and estate plans for business and agriculture clients; and litigating and advising on agriculture related civil business disputes.
Mr. Schroeder is a graduate of Leipsic High School, during which time he served as the Future Farmers of America National Vice President and the Ohio President. He is twice a graduate of The Ohio State University with his Juris Doctorate from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. Additionally, Lee writes a weekly column in the Lima News that has been published since February 2014, many of which have been reprinted across the country. He has also been published by the American Bar Association and The Ohio Farmer magazine.
In other action, the Board re-elected the following members for three-year terms: Ms. Mary Elmquist-Lane; Ms. Teri Hirschfeld; Ms. Jane P. Krites; Ms. Carrie L. Lewis; Dr. Francis O. Oruma; and Dr. Jan L. Osborn.
Founded in 1978, the Rhodes State College Foundation generates financial support to increase the College’s viability, enhance opportunities for students, and help provide more accessible and affordable education to current and future students. The Foundation currently provides over $225,000.00 a year in student scholarships and conducts capital campaigns to help meet program and facility plans.
