LIMA, Ohio, September 7, 2023 – Jessica J. Cunningham of Lima has been appointed by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine to the James A. Rhodes State College Board of Trustees for a term beginning Sept. 1, 2023, and ending Aug. 31, 2025. Cunningham is the Director of the Patient Access Center, Intensive Care Unit and Support Services for the Lima Memorial Health System.
Additionally, Cunningham has over 10 years of progressive leadership experience in the nursing profession; experience in policy and protocol development; successful development/implementation of cardiac programs (e.g., Structural Heart and TAVR); led quality improvement initiatives to greatly increase quality metrics; led organizational initiatives to enhance patient experience and held leadership oversight of seven cardiology medical directorships, including contract negotiations.

Jessica earned her Associate of Science in Nursing Degree from Rhodes State College, continued on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University, and a Masters in Nursing, Organizational Leadership from Western Governors University.
The Board is composed of seven Allen County residents, five of whom are appointed by a caucus of the city, county, and exempted village boards of education of Allen County, and two are appointed by the Governor. Full terms of appointment are for three years. The Board of
Trustees of Rhodes State College has legal, statutory, and fiduciary authority and responsibility for the college as defined in Chapter 3357 of the Ohio Revised Code.
