Tool and Die Certificate Overview

In the 31 credit hour Tool and Die certificate program at Rhodes State, students will take courses such as CAM/CNC Machining, Engineering Graphics with AutoCAD, Blueprint Reading and Sketching, Fluid Power, Welding and Fabrication, Tool and Die Technology & Troubleshooting, Material Science, and Mathematics. Every credit achieved through the Tool and Die certificate program will also apply to an associate’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology or Advanced Manufacturing Technology.

Tool and Die Certificate Highlights

  • Basic Mechanical and Electrical Technology applicable to Manufacturing:
    • AutoCAD, Blueprint reading. Fluids, material science
  • Specific Flexible Manufacturing Technology valued in Industry:
    • Safety, CNC, welding
  • Specific Tool and Died Technology valued in Industry:
    • Tool and Die Technology and Troubleshooting
  • Courses achieved in this short term certificate apply to FMS/MET, and AMT
