Liberal Arts Overview

The Liberal Arts Certificate introduces students to a wide range of exciting subjects in the arts, humanities, and social sciences.  The Liberal Arts Certificate can be a great way to earn a credential in a short amount of time or as a stepping-stone to an Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, or Bachelor’s degree program in the Arts and Humanities, Business, Technology, and Public Service.  In addition, the Liberal Arts Certificate focuses on developing and improving essential skills needed in the workplace, such as writing, public speaking, cross-cultural knowledge, and analytical, creative, and critical thinking.

Liberal Arts Highlights

  • Students can add credentials to their resume by completing the Liberal Arts Certificate.
  • The courses in the certificate are embedded in the Ohio Transfer Module Certificate, the Associate of Arts degree, and the Associate of Science degree.
  • The American and global/world traditions courses are required by most Ohio four-year public institutions.

Career Opportunities

The Liberal Arts Certificate will prepare developing professionals with the skills they need to be successful in a wide range of careers including, but not limited to, retail or sales manager, customer service associate, social and human services assistant, and administrative support specialist.
