Project Management Overview

The Project Management certificate is designed to prepare students to sit for the Certified Associate in Program Management (CAPM®), a Project Management Institute (PMI) recognized certification. The certificate covers topics such as the five project management process groups, applications that can be used by Project Managers, identifying key concepts and tailoring consideration for project scope management, role of the Project Manager, solving simple network diagrams problems and perform basic scheduling calculations.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that management occupations should grow by a rate of approximately 7 percent by the 2028 which is faster than average for all occupations.

Grant Opportunity

Rhodes State College is offering a $2,000 scholarships towards earning a credential or certificate, making most of the programs free. Eligible certifications are listed along with additional costs if the scholarship doesn't cover the entire cost of the course. Professional Licensure Information

CAPM® is an entry-level certification for professionals interested in project management, offered by the Project Management Institute (PMI), USA.

As per PMI, “The CAPM certification offers recognition to practitioners who are interested in or are just starting a career in project management, as well as project team members who wish to demonstrate their project management knowledge.”
