Food Technology Certificate Overview

The Food Technology Certificate program offers students the opportunity to learn about maintenance, quality, safety, procurement, shipping, and production within the food industry. The certificate programs develops key skills students in the program such as the ability to work independently, meticulous attention to detail, especially with regard to food hygiene and safety, and strong analytical and numerical skills. The curriculum also prepares students to sit for two industry-recognized certifications: Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Servsafe Manager's training.

Upon completion of the certificate program, Food Technologists often work in food manufacturing plants with many opportunities for travel and exploring new innovations.
