Rhodes State College Hosts Family Information Sessions with Bradfield Community Center

Rhodes State College, in collaboration with The Bradfield Center, is pleased to offer three Family Information Sessions at Bradfield Center on Wednesday, October 21 beginning at 6:00 p.m.  Sessions are designed to help families of middle and high school students plan for higher education and include:

College Planning 101

Representatives will present a College Planning Timeline, the Value of Higher Education, College Credit Plus, Rhodes State Degree and Certificate Options & Transfer Pathways.

College Finance 101

A Financial Aid representative will present on college funding resources including: The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and how to submit it. Actual cost of higher education – options and ways to save. Discuss funding sources: Grants, Student Loans, and Scholarships. College savings plans – 529 Plans and Roth IRAs.

Careers 101

A Career Services representative will present on the fastest growing occupations in the region and state. Plus, how you can help your student choose a career path based on their skills and interests.
