Rhodes State Participates in Open Gate on November 24

Rhodes State College Division of Allied Health will participate in the upcoming Allen County Open Gate meeting on Tuesday, November 24 from 1 to 3 p.m. Students from the Division of Allied Health will be offering free services in occupational health, physical therapy, respiratory care, and dental hygiene. Open Gate is a monthly meeting that allows people to meet with multiple agencies at one time to find the services that they need.

The partnership with Open Gate allows Rhodes State students a great opportunity to apply education while providing much needed services to the community.

The following services will be provided by Rhodes State students free of charge:

  • Occupational Therapy: Upper extremity muscle testing
  • Physical Therapy: Balance and gait testing
  • Respiratory Care: Pulmonary function testing and smoking cessation education
  • Dental Hygiene: Oral health screenings and education

The Allen County Open Gate meeting will be held at the Veterans Memorial Civic Center, 7 Town Square.
