ACT National and ACT Residual Test

ACT Testing

The ACT is a national college admission examination that consists of subject area tests in English, Mathematics, Reading, and Science. There are two ways for Rhodes State College students to take the ACT:

1) National ACT - Results from the National ACT are valid and transferrable to other colleges.

The National ACT is administered at local high schools and colleges on six test dates in February, April, June, October and December.  You must pre-register for the National ACT.  You can register online at http://www.actstudent.org

2) Residual ACT – A Rhodes State College option with results good only for Rhodes State College.

The ACT Residual Test is an acceptable alternative to the National ACT for students who are officially enrolled students. If you haven’t received your official notice of acceptance, you are not eligible to take the ACT Residual Test at this time.

The ACT Residual Test results are valid only at Rhodes State College, and cannot be transferred to any other institution or agency. No reports will be issued by Rhodes State College or by ACT to high schools, colleges, or scholarship agencies.

There is a $40.00 non-refundable registration fee made in the Business Office prior to testing.
