Accuplacer Placement Testing

What is the ACCUPLACER test?
ACCUPLACER is an untimed, computerized test that evaluates your skills for appropriate course placement in math or reading courses. Your results are available immediately upon test completion and will be used to place you into reading or math courses at Rhodes State College.
Is it possible to receive accommodations on the test if I have a diagnosed disability?
Students with documented disabilities who need test accommodations (sign language interpreters, tests in auditory format, or large print) should contact Accommodative Services before arranging to take the ACCUPLACER test.  Accommodative Services can be reached at 419-995-8476.

Can I use a calculator on the math portion of the test?
No books, notes, calculators, or other devices are allowed in the testing room. 
Scratch Paper will be provided.

What do I need to know about scheduling my test?

  • Call, email or visit the Testing Center to schedule your appointment.

  • Bring a valid, government issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license, state identification card, or passport. 
  • The test is untimed and, on average, takes about 1.5 hours to complete. 
  •  Students are to arrive at the Rhodes State College Testing Center (Tech Ed Lab Room 132) on the date and time that they scheduled their testing appointment.
