The Center for Distance Education supports educational opportunities for non-traditional as well as traditional college students and faculty, assisting faculty with development of courses that reach out to those students who need access to a flexible delivery format to complete their degree.

ORIENTATION TO DISTANCE EDUCATION & ANGEL LEARNING SYSTEM

If you have never used the Angel course management system or are new to distance learning, review the Student Orientation Guide and the Student Guide to Distance Education linked here, or feel free to stop in the Center for Distance education for one of our orientations:

  • Tuesday     January 3 10:00am—11:00am TL 132
  • Wednesday    January 4 1:00pm — 2:00pm TL 132
  • Thursday    January 5  6:00pm — 7:00pm TL 132
  • Saturday     January 7 10:00am — 11:00am TL 132

Space is limited; reserve a seat on the schedule by emailing your preferred day and time to: lumpkins.a@rhodesstate.edu. Rhodes network, email and Angel will be covered, as well as other tips for being a successful distance learner. If you cannot attend any of the orientations, please contact your instructor the first day of class if you have any questions about how to proceed with your distance education course.
