Tutoring is available to all Rhodes State College students free of charge for all courses offered through the college. All professional and peer tutors receive training approved by the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA).
The goal of tutoring is to encourage students to develop skills, strategies, and attitudes necessary to reach their academic goals. Tutors provide help in specific course material and integrate study and learning strategies to promote independent learning.
To better serve students, tutoring services can be found in two locations within the Science building, as well as in an online environment:
Students can find assistance with math, science and engineering coursework in SCI 240.
Assistance for all other coursework can be found in SCI 151.
Scheduling an appointment is best way to ensure that a tutor is available to address specific concerns and offer assistance; however walk-in tutoring is also available daily.
To schedule an appointment with a tutor, call Kathi Stephens at (419) 995-8039
