The calendar is usually located behind the Course Content and Related Materials icon. Click the Calendar icon to enter that tool. The first screen you see should be the current month with today's day highlighted. Move to a different month by clicking the drop down list arrows for month and year and clicking the Go button. Or, you can click the buttons to view Previous Month and Next Month. To view the calendar entries for a specific date, click the number link in the top left corner of that date's cell.

Add a new calendar entry by clicking the Add Entry button to go into the calendar editor.

Fill in the different areas of this template screen. The Summary information is required as shown by the red asterisk next to its textbox. The summary is the information that appears on the calendar month screen. The Detail area appears only after someone clicks the date to see the entries. As a student you will probably create only Private entries. These are entries viewed by only you. The instructor can make Public entries which appear to everyone in the class. The last step is to click the Add button to make the entry permanent.

Below you see the completed calendar entry. You can add another entry to this same date by clicking the Add entry button again. Modify this entry by clicking its radio button and clicking the Edit button. This is also the screen where you can delete calendar entries.

Click the View Month button to return to the regular calendar view.
As a student, one of the important tools for using the calendar is the Compile tool. This will create one large, easy to print page out of all the separate calendar entries. Click the Compile entries button to the right of the date list area.

In the screen shown below, choose and beginning and ending date (first and last day of the quarter?) range. To print both Public and Private entries, click the Both radio button. Click the Display button to generate a page with all of the calendar entries.

To print this screen, click inside the white page area to make that frame active. Then click the File menu and choose Print.
