The Teaching & Learning Resource Center
The TLRC is designed with instructor resources and instructor training in mind. Many training workshops are scheduled each month. Use these opportunities to broaden your expertise and make your job easier. Just click on the month link above this screen to bring up the monthly calendar of workshops.
If the planned training sessions don't meet your needs, please contact the TLRC staff to arrange special training. Also, remember that if there is no workshop scheduled, you can arrange for one-on-one training and are welcome to work on your own in the TLRC.
Small-group training is also welcome in the TLRC. If you need a place to train your people, the TLRC can be that place. With prior arrangement, special software can be loaded with ease.
- WebCT (Web Course Tools) specially designed software to enable and manage online education. Includes: course calendars, built-in chat rooms, email, and bulletin boards, lecture note organization, student tracking, quizzing tools, and much more.
- FrontPage (Web page editor) is ready for you to create your online course or course enhancement with ease. This program, much like a word processor, helps you create individual course pages and get them ready to load into WebCT without having to know the HTML programming language. Insert graphics, text, and links with minimal effort.
- Both Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer are available in the TLRC. Learn to use these programs as great reference tools or supplemental course/student aids.
