Your one-stop shop for job search materials, advice and service.

The Office of Career Services is there to help you with the many phases of your job search process. We are the experts on campus who can assist you with all of the questions and concerns relating to your job search.

Whether you are seeking a part-time position, internship, summer-only, or full-time post graduation professional position, we are here to help. Take advantage of our expertise and experience! Not only are we educated in the multiple facets of a job search, we have all been through the process ourselves. We understand what you are trying to accomplish, so be sure to use us at each phase of your job search.

Our services are many!  We:

  • write & publish job search materials written specifically for Rhodes State Students
  • help construct and edit students’ and alumni’s resumes
  • provide “Best Resume” online - Rhodes College’s online resume template
  • edit and review drafts of cover letters and all job search correspondence
  • provide interview information and assistance
  • produce “Online Jobline” the campus e-jobline found at the Rhodes’ web site
  • provide programs, clinics and classroom presentations on job search issues
  • advise students seeking advice on transferring to a four-year college
  • host “College Transfer Day” which gives Rhodes State Students the opportunity to meet with college recruiters from over 20 different area colleges
  • host throughout the school year, recruiters from area companies and colleges
  • conduct one-on-one appointments with students seeking answers and assistance
  • purchase and distribute “Job Choices” magazine – a magazine written just for college students conducting their first professional job search
  • write and maintain the Career Services web page which offers excellent information on students’ job search issues
  • maintain students’ reference file and make it available to interested employers

If you have not registered with the Career Services Office in Public Service 150, please do so at your earliest convenience. At that time, you will be given job search materials, sample resumes and cover letters, and blank reference forms to be used for your reference file. Additionally, you will sign a consent form that will allow us to mail your resume and references to interested employers. If you’re looking for a job - get busy!

Office hours are easily extended to meet with working students
or alumni needing early evening appointments.

Walk-ins are welcome to register and pick up materials.
Appointments are encouraged to review drafts of resumes and correspondence
or to seek one-on-one advising for your individual questions and concerns.
