Robotic Welding Certificate Overview

The Robotic Welding certificate provides students become highly skilled welding technicians. Robot welding completely automates a welding process by using the robots to both perform a weld and handle the part. Robot welding is commonly used for resistance spot welding and arc welding. Students in this program will also learn how to weld using industrial welding robots. This additional skill prepares them to fill the high-demand field of robotic welding technicians.

Students completing the Robotic Welding certificate will be prepared to become certified by the American Welding Society (AWS). Coursework includes Shielded Metal Arc Welding, Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, and Gas Metal Arc Welding as well as Industrial Mechatronics and Robotics. Upon completion of the program, students may register with an AWS Accredited Test Facility to become certified.
