Business Administration Overview

By completing the associate degree in Business Administration, either online or in person, students will be prepared to be an entry-level manager or supervisor upon graduation. Students can also seamlessly transition to a bachelor’s degree at one of Rhodes State’s transfer partners.

Students also gain hands-on technology skills using Microsoft Office products. Students will select a specialization track that will allow them to build skills in an area of business that they are interested in pursuing. Students can select from the following specialization tracks: Accounting, Marketing, Supply Chain, Small Business Management, Agriculture Business, Project Management, or Esports Management. Opportunities for managers include supervisors, team leaders, project managers, assistant managers and owners within a variety of settings, including small and medium-size businesses, corporations, industries, non-profit organizations and governmental agencies.

Real-World Experience

On your educational journey to business administration, you will participate in an internship for credit towards graduation. Your internship offers the opportunity to develop important relationships and build career-enhancing skills for life after your degree. An emphasis is placed on integrating prior or concurrent classroom learning with your work experience. This solidifies the correlation between what you have learned at Rhodes State and what you are doing in your career. You will receive one on one assistance to find the internship you want with the employer you want to grow with. Rhodes State Business Administration Students have completed their practicums in a variety of different companies (including but not limited to) : The Met, Malone Staffing Solutions, Continental Express, The Depot, Mercer County Elks, KM Tire, State Farm, YMCA, Halter Financial, School Systems, and Healthcare Facilities.
