Candidates who complete the Civil Engineering Technology Program of study will be prepared to assume the role of Civil Engineering Technician. These technicians will help satisfy the work force development needs of West Central Ohio, the state of Ohio and the nation.
This programs curriculum, combining architectural courses with courses related to civil engineering, prepares the graduate for employment with engineering and architectural firms; with federal, state, county, and city governments; and with construction companies and residential builders. Job opportunities are available in such fields as urban planning and subdivision design, highway design and construction, structural engineering and land surveying.
