In addition to in-person tutoring, all Rhodes State students have FREE access to online tutors through collaboration with other Ohio colleges and universities. This collaboration, called eTutoring, provides highly skilled peer and professional tutors from across the state to offer additional hours and courses to those students who may not be able to make a traditional tutoring appointment in their school’s Center.
Getting started and using the system is very simple, and your account can be created and accessed from any computer with internet access, anytime!
Tutoring Subjects Offered for 2011-2012 Academic Year

eTutoring Services include:
Online Writing Lab which allows you to submit a draft of your paper to a tutor, ask for specific feedback, and receive your work back with a tutor’s comments within 24 to 48 hours. (You may submit up to three drafts per paper.) This is not a “live” tutoring session; rather you submit a paper with questions and a tutor submits a reply back to you at a later time.
Live tutoring via eChat which allows you to meet with a tutor in one-to-one tutoring sessions via a fully interactive, virtual online environment. You need no special equipment, software, or downloads to use this service; however, a webcam and/or microphone makes the experience enhanced.
Offline Questions which allows you to leave a specific question for an eTutor, who will respond within 48 hours (but usually sooner)
Resources
which allows you access to a variety of websites and handouts on FAQ’s and specific subject matter.
Creating your account is easy; be sure to have your Rhodes State username, ID, and an email address.
